Gifts in Smithfield

Tabatha Koziarz has opened Sam & Cate, a gift boutique in downtown Smithfield. “I felt a strong need to have a place to find really nice gifts without having to travel to Raleigh,” she said. “It is a great place to come and get something that is different and unique.”

Sam & Cate offers Vietri, Vagabond House, Juliska, Mariposa and Potluck glassware; Thymes bath and body products and candles; Pine-cone Hill sleepwear; and Rowallan luggage and jewelry boxes from Scotland. Most of the merchandise is handmade and comes from California and New England. “We are going to do bridal registry,” Koziarz said. “We offer special orders and free gift wrapping. Also, we carry a lot of Oprah’s favorites.”
